I took a look at your June article. Too bad it only got 136 claps. There have been lots of Medium writers to call Mr. Trump a wannebe dictator, but very few can explain how he could pull it off. Nobody I was reading predicted January 6. Hey, but write another vague Mr-Trump-is-a-fool article and up goes the Medium paycheck.

Recently I read a book called "Why Democraties Fail", written in 2018. The authors give examples of how other modern democracies have evolved into dictatorships--and Mr. Trump was following a similar path at that time.

The writers did not provide a reasonable solution to this problem. Here is my review:

Nor do I see putting more words in the Constitution is going to thwart someone like Mr. Trump. He bucked all sorts of formal and informal political norms and still managed to get 74m people to vote for him.

USA needs to radically re-design its political system. Let's get rid of all political parties.
