I used to fish recreationally as a kid. I only needed a fishing license. It would be an enjoyable recreation today, except fishing has gotten a lot more complex. One needs to be a lawyer and biologist to understand and deploy all the rules.

Having said that, without these rules, our waters would be all fished out. There are enough amateur fishermen out there that would set up their fishing business if there were no fish cops to enforce the rules.

I guess recreational fishermen need to decide whether the hassles of recreational fishing are worth it.

I have been reading your articles on these copyright matters. I am wondering whether it's worth all the hassle to use photos with so many laws around these photos-----for articles that average $1.50 in revenue for me. I could spend more time checking out the rules than writing the article.

I also wonder how many of these copyright enforcers are the real owners. This sounds like a good scam to pose as an owner and ask for a small fee.
