But your analysis was outside my thinking. True it is that there are precise rules to follow to get a name on a ballot. Miss one rule and the other side has the right to deny the name on the ballot.

Fifty sets of precise rules in USA. I kind of doubt the Democrat Party can score a perfect 50 in this regard.

I had one election experience in Canada where the voters did elect a dead man. But the rules forced a by-election a few months later.
