I watched a bit of the impeachment hearings. I saw two groups of people. 1) Those who were making more than $100,000 a year in occupations they enjoyed and 2) those who were interning for nothing, but will use the intern experience to create a career that pays $100,000 a year and can afford to work for nothing because they live with their rich parents.
The political class are not in the same reality as average Americans. I really recommend readers to read about the American aristocracy that the Atlantic really explains things.

Perhaps if Ms. Martinchek writes another 100,000 articles on this vein, America will move in the direction average Americans want to move into.
But it just might be easier for 1% of Americans to start building Tiered Democratic Governance. In this democratic system, many citizens from the middle and lower classes will be put into positions of governance. Isn't that what we really want?
