I watched the final game of the NBA playoffs. Milwaukee had 65,000 fans downtown watching and celebrating. Outside, yes (most of the time). But no mask and no social distancing. It was more important to be at this celebration than the increased risk getting Covid. If any of these 65,000 say they won't get a job because they are scared of Covid, I say "Too bad, get a job if you want money. Don't blame the unemployment insurance."

For people who really fear Covid and are making sensible life choices, your point is valid. But for Americans not making sensible choices (which seems to be about half), they are looking for an excuse not to find work.
