I went to Umair's article. I could not finish it; it seemed too obtuse for me. But maybe my prejudices against the fashion industry--which is designed for consumption to make rich people richer--got in the way.

I really couldn't figure where Umair's position was in this rant. I didn't want to read the article three or four times to figure it out. This was a poorly written article.

Because I have sworn off top writers on Medium, I run into a lot of well written articles that get the same attention as you and I get. Whether we like it or not, 90% of us are not going to get high rankings on the feeds. We get just enough recognition just to keep coming back. I have tried to quit Medium four times!
