I would argue that the voters can already use age as a criterion for public office. They can vote out the geriatrics if they want. But . . . .

There was another writer here who was asking why these people do not voluntarily retire. One hypothesis is that with the spare time they would acquire, they would have to come to terms with the things they did or did not do while in public office. Maybe it's better for them to stay working.
