I would wager that there are a small team of psychologists in back rooms analyzing Mr. Trump and anticipating his next moves (based on psychology). This team might have deemed "Now, it is time to get tough."

But for those of us on the outside, it was obvious that the softer approach was not dissipating this political force like we had hoped it would.

But maybe we need some psychologists to help us understand why we still cling to this system of governance, despite its recent failures.
