If Joe Biden wins the nomination, Mr. Trump will make the entire 2020 campaign about Hunter Biden. Whether you agree that Hunter’s appointment was proper or not or whether Mr. Trump has committed more egregious appointments, Mr. Trump will go on and on and on and on about Hunter. Your judgement — or even the Senate’s judgement — will not count.
The net effect: Mr. Trump’s continual railings will convince enough soft Democratic supporters to stay home on election day. Why should they go to the polls when the D candidate has proven to give his family preference over Americans who would have been more qualified for this job?
