If nothing else, we have learned something for next time we have to invade. The question is: "Will we apply these lessons?"

If our systems of governance remain the same, I suspect not.

While Afghanistan is a focus, this article speaks to the fact we westerners --especially the USA--have an outdated system of governance that could not resolve Afghanistan in a meaningful way.

It's time for a change.
