The president has indeed become more presidential since he accepted that COVID 19 is a real threat. But there are still serious gaps in his messaging that are not helping USA through this crisis.
I have to wonder at the behind-the-scenes decisions in the newsrooms. If they continue their usual partisan attacks, trying to make the man look inept, this just might exacerbate the crisis. Now they are trying to portray a different side of the man, ostensibly at least, to keep social order. I wonder . . .
Going back to 18-wheel truck analogy, the question I have been trying to ask on Medium is: “Why did the electoral system deliver this guy into the White House in the first place?” If he hasn’t ever had to deal with bylaws for dogs pooping in Central Park, how can he really understand how democracy really works?
Many Medium writers will just say “Let’s unelect this fellow. All will be well after”. No that won’t work in the long term. It’s time for a new system:
