If stimulus checks are used to pay rent and utilities, that is money circulating back into the economy. Landlords and utility companies are less likely to be at the government teat for a bailout, using evictions and cutoffs as political levers.

If stimulus checks are used to buy food, that is money circulating in the economy. Food banks can help someone else--or stock up for next month.

If stimulus checks are used to fix or insure a car so someone is better able to look for a job, that is money circulating in the economy.

If stimulus checks are used to take a family to a little vacation, that is money circulating in the economy.

This article smacks of contempt for the poor and working poor.
