If this were an election of George W. Bush vs. Liz Warren, Ms. Warren could have taken a chance and explain social democracy to Americans. She might have even won the election.

But in this election, no way — — if defeating Mr. Trump is the goal. If they don’t defeat him, . . . . . . . (I’ll let the average Umair speculate here).

No, the D’s seem to have made the best decision to win the election.

And winning elections are what political parties are all about. They are not about bettering society.

It’s time for a new way.
