If you bring a loaded gun to a drunken party and set it on the table, we should not be surprised something bad happens.

I had a couple of conversations with political writers here. I've surmised that it is possible Mr. Trump could declare Congress inept. The writers said that enough Republicans would vote to impeach him if he did. I'm not so sure. But many Americans would be protesting, which is another problem he would have to handle.

Amassing US military near the Canadian border to "get a better trade deal" could turn into an actual invasion. I doubt the political left-wing would be protesting that. So the 51st state is more feasible.

Whether there is an actual plan or dementia, there is a loaded gun on the table.
