I'll just bring up a few points to see if you are ready to debate.

1) The Ukrainians do not want Russians to occupy them any more. No troops, no oligarchs running their economy or legislature. Should not Ukrainians have this right?

2) Ceding territories such as Donbass or Crimea would only allow Russian to rearm and invade later. There is a strong sociological drive in Russia to occupy Ukraine and other territories. Russians feel good about themselves only when they dominate other ethnic groups. Why should Ukraine have to live with this threat?

3) The relationship between NATO, Ukraine, and Russia is complex. I don't think the west is ready to put boots on the ground yet, so being hesitant is an appropriate political decision.

4) I think the people in the back rooms have one eye on Russia imploding sooner or later, which could end this war fairly quickly.
