I'm a little surprised at the negativity in the comments. I thought you were bringing up some good points.
As I was reading this, I was thinking about new kind of protectorship: the protector of communities. This protector ensures that enough dialogue happens so the community makes better decisions. I think, in general, women are better at this than men.
My experience in politics is that some women who adopt men's ways in this profession too often settle on the more dysfunctional ways of men.
