I’m coming from Canada, so my understanding of the American voting system might not be quite right.

It seems to me that American citizens must first register to vote. If that is the rules, so be it. Work within the rules. They aren’t that bad.

If there are electoral committees trying to favor one demographic group over another, then start the court process as soon as possible. Get the media attention and put some heat on these committees. But don’t wait two weeks before the election!

BTW, in Canada we have had ID requirements for about 15 years. At first, there were a few people annoyed, but they seemed to be trained to bring their ID in on election day. And we even allow a utility bill with name and address to count as valid ID.
