I'm going to be politically incorrect here. So be patient.

I saw a little clip on Mastodon in what looked like these legislators protesting in the chamber. I could be wrong.

But if I'm not wrong, then there are rules for proper decorum in the chamber. What I saw was not proper decorum in most legislative settings.

In essence, the three legislators exposed themselves to a possible expulsion (if the rules allow for that punishment). In other words, the Republicans used the rules for their political advantage.

Of course, this brings up the argument that Republicans have flouted rules to little consequence, but that is another discussion.
