I’m in the final stages of my second book. I did the read-aloud technique with my work and somehow believed that technique would point all the typos to me.

Pah!

My editor was finding at least 20 typos a chapter on her read-aloud foray.

Because she is still finding lots wrong, I suspect she is not catching all the typos. And I just might not be transcribing all her fixes properly. So I’m anticipating a few too many errors to be in the final part of my work. I don’t have the funds to hire three editors for more copy-edit runs. Nor do I want to spend more time on this project.

Yep, the grammar gremlins will be good reasons for those who don’t like my ideas to attack me. But I’m hoping many other readers will overlook the foibles.

Sometimes you need to push your work out the door.
