I'm not a fan of Umair's "hair-on-fire" articles, but he has many good points in this article. The fact that we can't vaccinate the world is a sign that we are failing.

However, going back to the good old days when BIG GOVERNMENT could just force their way into peoples' lives is probably not going to work.

Neither will hoping the D's or R's or C's or L's will somehow reform themselves into responsible political parties. All the Umair articles (and there have been many) will not change the floundering we have been seeing.
