I'm not a military person, but it seems to me this war has made tanks and fighters less effective. The missiles are just too good these days.

Crewing up fighters is a magnitude more difficult than crewing up tanks. If the SAMs can come from 100 km away, then fighters seem like sitting ducks to me.
