I'm not sure I would agree with you on this. I have encountered writers on the looney left on Medium. Many are lambasting Mr. Biden because the evacuation of Kabul had a few hiccups.
It was actually amazing that the USA and other countries got so many flights out in those last days. Great military and diplomatic planning and execution for this "rearguard" strategy. The Taliban could have shelled the runway to make to totally unusable three weeks ago.
But when attacking Mr. Biden in this way, that is only convincing the soft D supporters not to make a trip to the polls in the next election. By them not voting, that is almost as good as a vote for the R's. I have tried to tell these liberal writers about soft support, but they seem to believe that everyone else is as emotionally vested in their politics as the liberals (and conservatives).
And now that the USA is gone from Afghanistan, the political left is lamenting about the women and girls of this country. Where were the activists a year ago when Mr. Trump made the deal? The left wanted out as much as the right--as far as I could see.
It's a strange world.
