I'm not sure why I'm editor of Politically Speaking. I think the founder just wanted to get some action on this site and made the process easy for us early birds. But it is getting bigger and probably needs more control. I'm not sure where the founder wants to take this pub next. Maybe I overstepped my "authority".

I had a discussion with another Medium contributor. He said that San Fransisco experimented with proportional representation some years ago. The D hegemony was lost as other left-leaning parties were getting seats at the expense of the D's. The D's did not like that and changed the system back where the internal D election became more important than the actual election. Feudalistic, in my world. But I had not heard this PR in USA before, and it seems unlikely the D's would even try something like this. But you may know more.

People who are looking out mostly for their own kind likely won't be an early builder of the TDG. The culture to look beyond one's self-interests will be better established in the TDG. Once again, you have given me another angle to present the TDG.
