I'm not sure why the Medium proffered up your article on my feed. It somehow knew "Dave would like this".

I consider Alpha Centuri as the best game ever. One feature I really like was the ability to design your own military units. And the "worms" were a great equalizer if one military got too advanced.

I had to abandon Alpha Centuri when I upgraded my computer to Windows XP. I went back to Civ 3 or Civ 4. It was not the same.

It's good to know that the game is still out there. Maybe some day I'll have time again and a computer to handle to gaming graphics.
