In 1968, Canada opted for a single payer medical model. This moved a significant part of our economy from capitalist to socialist. Fifty-one years later, we have not nationalized entire industries, reduced the rich people to a state of poverty, and engaged in genocide of the masses to teach them a lesson.
Health care in Canada is pretty good. I and my family have been served well. There are frustrations for sure, but not like the frustrations of dealing with insurance companies. Oh, but wait, they are private enterprise. So that means it’s OK.
