In 2014, I had a fellow interested in organizing a local TDG in Cobb County, Georgia, USA. He had trouble promoting it to his neighbors. He kind of gave up. If he had tried TDG conversations every six months or so, the Cobb County TDG might be well developed by now.
Part of the political psychology has been to inculcate average people into believing one of three things (1) they can't change the system or (2) if they want to try to change the system, they must work through a political party, or (3) they can bend the will of system through activism.
