In Alberta, we have seen a subtle shift in our politics.
The moderate conservatives have been running the show since the 1940s. Except between 2015-2019 when the moderate conservatives and radical conservatives had a civil war. The war resulted in the radicals running the party, which runs the province. The radical right fired the previous premier, who tried to be a moderate. I believe the new premier is also a moderate, but she wants the job.
The moderates go along with the new power structure--because their next logical choice is our local communists, who really aren't communists.
It others, we have about 15% of the population crafting Alberta to its vision.
