In all these "papers," I saw lots of good ideas for a better world.

But my experience with academics is that they believe that we can accomplish these goals with western democracy--or some tinkering to western democracy.

Maybe I need to do some reading of these papers, but, in this article, I saw nothing along the lines of replacing western democracy with a better democracy.

We need a new democracy. Until we change out our current model, all these utopias will never be realized in any meaningful. World trends are strongly suggesting we are going backwards, yet academia seems to holding onto ways that are clearly failing.
