In Canada, the mariginal tax rate is about 50% to 55% of income over $200,000 a year. I don't see any hockey players quitting their sport when they pay this tax.
The CEO salaries are absurd. And that has bumped the salaries of many middle level managers in the private and public sector. The trickle down effect has worked well for the professional class.
