In Canada, we seem to be managing this crisis a little better than the USA. But we didn’t have warehouses of necessary medical supplies in case of a pandemic. And it seems all these social programs, which usually take months and months of parliamentary approval, are being created in a few days as the Federal Government is beset with cries of “We need help too.”
If nothing else, this pandemic is showing fault lines in western democracy.
Rather than criticize Mr. Trump and hope for his defeat in November, why not criticize the electoral system that gave him his high office?
It is time for a new way.
