In Canada, we use voter sheets, paper ballots, pencils, and ballot boxes. Each table has two tellers. Parties are allowed one scrutineer per table, but that scrutineer is not allowed to physically handle the assets.

For their internal elections, the Canadian parties are relying more on technology. Sometimes the new technology does not work very well. There are allegations of improprieties, but these happened when the parties were using paper ballots. Too much emotion in these internal elections.
