In his Foundation Series (1950s), Isaac Asimov prophesized that democracy has a shelf life of 2 to 3 centuries. Then in falls in on itself. This article speaks to this fall.

The question is what is to follow: 1) A republican oligarchy or 2) a democrat oligarchy, making a pre-emptive strike before the republicans do?

In 2009, I had put the pieces to together for an alternative democracy. I figured that the USA had 20 years before it fell internally. No one was interested back then. The signs are more obvious: no is interested today.

I guess we'll have to let the fall happen. Too bad.
