In his Foundation Series, SF writer Isaac Asimov prophecized that democracy has a shelf life of two or three centuries before it falls in on itself--and is replaced by some kind of oligarchy. We just may be in that latter part of the cycle. If not, we should not assume it won't happen later, if not sooner.

The dancing in the street for the Biden win is indeed a waste of energy.

I've been reading "Political Order and Political Decay." Half finished Volume 2.

What I'm getting from this book is that systems of newly created systems of governance sometimes have good thinking behind them. Mistakes from the past are learned, and the new knowledge is applied. But often there is a whole whack of "unintended consequences"--both good and bad--that change the direction of the original thinkers. Then, over time, the system corrodes--to be replaced once again. Unfortunately these replacements--sometimes better and sometimes worse than the system they replaced--require a violent struggle for power. The better systems last a lot longer, but still corrode.

I've probably encountered 1000 people over the years for my Tiered Democratic Governance concept. It seems logical that if someone is concerned about the state of democracy, it would be worthwhile reading my book. But "tiny ape brains" won't be taken in that direction.
