In mid-March, most of us acquiesced to the experts and political decision makers, whether we liked the decision or not to lock down much of the economy. There was not much political pushback. Because there was not much protest, we did make a collective decision.
But being cooped up for a couples months will affect people's psyche. The pushback to head to the beach or party or get to work should not have been surprising.
Politician have to find that balance between the spread of the disease and political fallout for more lockdowns (if needed). I don't think we are going to have as much unity if a second lockdown is ordered.
So now, I'm confused. Are you in favor of further lockdowns if the spike in cases increases? Or do you want to reopen the economy--and let Covid-19 do whatever it's going to do (like Sweden)?
