In my case, it's much easier to stay with my own thoughts, rather than argue with someone who has no intention of listening to anything I have to say.

In my younger days, i heard this joke:

"Why does Bill stay by himself all the time?"

"Because he likes the company of great men."

This joke makes more sense in my older days.
