In some ways, I feel sorry for social media trying to thwart the more radical movements of our society. But as one group is shut down, another crops up.
Two years ago, I had no trouble using Google Ads to advertise my book on an alternative system of governance. This year, my campaigns are now too “political” to show my ads. Reading between the lines, Google seems just to sell widgets and services.
I did try Taboola and FB. FB seems to allow some political ads, but coming from Canada, I cannot deliver my book to the USA (too political).
As time passes, social media will not be a good place for social movements to get their message out. Just widgets and services.
