Interesting analysis. At least it wasn't going in the direction that the USA already has surplus natural gas coupled with LNG facilities and LNG ships that can replace the anticipated dislocation from the Nordstream explosion. There've been a few articles with this hypothesis front and center.
I'm not an expert here, but I'm pretty sure that there were many political voices warning western Europe not to be too dependent on Russian petroleum BECAUSE Russia is not a stable country, given its well known kleptocracy. Whether the EU politicians who OKed Nordstream had their heads in the sand or genuinely believed that Russia would become more democratic if more trade occurred, the warnings came out to be true.
