Interesting video. It was made 11 years ago. I have not heard of much about thorium as a nuclear fuel.

The comments about the petroleum age are very apt. That indeed maybe the single biggest contributor to the middle class after WW2. The late 1940s was the time the petroleum industry learned how to FIND and develop oil and gas from depths more than 200 meters.

Someone wiser than myself said something like: "We should regard the petroleum age as a transition age to something better." And yet both supporters and detractors are locked into a pitch battle that delays the transition.
