It appears that Trump’s supporters may understand he committed crimes, they just don’t care.

Like many things in life, seldom are things in black-and-white, but in shades of grey.

I think statements will result in the failure of understanding the Trump phenomenon. In their eyes, many Trump supporters, the state failed to prosecute the Clintons, both of which carried baggage into public office. In this sense, the state was not fair or just, so now it’s their time to get their man in office, method be damned!

Anyways, there is lots of politics to play out. 50% of Americans normally do not vote. I can’t see much Trump upside to reaching this group. A lot depends on how the D’s respond.

One thing that I am wondering about is whether the D side has done an in- depth psychological profile of Mr. Trump and strategies for getting him to say some things to alienate his base.
