It is indeed a paradox.
Many people in the food business complain about the rules they have to abide by. But without those rules and enforcement of those rules, there would no shortage of food operators looking for ways to cut corners. Eating would become a dangerous activity.
And yet, we want fewer regulations.
Having Democrats "going to the counties" could also be dangerous.
I think we need a system of governance that is regarded trustworthy by the citizenry. In that way, when a regulation is enforced or o new regulation comes into play, people will understand there is a good reason for that regulation.
