It is indeed amazing. As I was watching the insurrection on CNN, I was wondering when are the guns going to be pulled out. The emotions were too high for the protesters not to use them. Someone must have told them not to bring the guns to the protest--and they obeyed.

In November 2021, the voters of Virginia did not punish the Republicans in that state's gubernatorial election. This is the most signficant ever since Mr. Trump took his ride down the elevator. Had the vote gone from 50/50 to 30/70, the message would have been clear to the Republican Party. They would have dumped Mr. Trump.

But 30% of Americans feel it would be better to live in a Repubilcan oligarchy than a democracy where elected officials can be thrown out of office with elections.

It is not surprising (to me) that the right-wing party still counts on these votes.
