It is interesting to see the transition in science documentaries in the past decade. With the primary audience being American, units of measurement used to be all imperial. But today, it seems the imperial documentaries vs. the metric documentaries are about 50/50. USA is slowly being pulled into the metric world, whether it likes it or not.

Anyways, this is a great article. I had heard this story more than a few times, but not without this much detail.
