It might seem exciting to shake up the system, but Mr. Yang's new party is more likely to give the R's an easy victory in 2024 than Mr. Yang winning the presidency. There is a risk/reward analysis to be conducted, and with the R's eying a one-party state, giving the me presidency should accelerate that direction.

Rather we should be looking at an alternative democracy, where someone like Mr. Yang will be evaluated on his past performances in public service rather than hiding behind a party banner.
