It should also be said that economists are often divided in their opinions. There isn't a lot of unity in this profession. Rather, there is a competition to be in the politicians' or public's ears. Some are successful in this regard; others are not.

What is needed is not more charts and theories, but a set of principles for which to guide economists. For example, a universal basic income so that just about everyone has basic needs met.
