It sounds interesting. I bought the book. I think I have about 8 books to read. Medium has been pretty great for good book recommendations.
I have a new strategy on Medium. I'm writing a short TDG article a day. Actually I have about 7 articles on the go at any time. The oldest gets published, the other 6 get revised until they are the oldest.
Not getting much traction for these articles. Average views = 10. But I think I can compile these article into a new book that explains the TDG in a different way, and offers a few new things since my 2017 revision.
TDG Novel #3 is at my editor's desk and will be published shortly after she her last round of editing. I've got another project on the go, so I'm not pushing her too hard these days. And TDG Novel #4 is percolating between my ears.
The new project is a Pandemic Simulation, where players roleplay politicians trying to make those difficult decisions in a pandemic. I think it is at least 2/3 done. My software programmer from Kolcata seems to have picked up a few other projects, so I'm not getting the attention I would like. But when I'm not paying a western software wage, I can't complain too much. And we do work together well.
Unlike Mr. Graeber, I have do all this with a lower-middle class income and no standing as a recognized thinker. I look forward to seeing how close Mr. Graeber comes to the TDG.
I fear my work might have the Van Gough effect. I'm 62, much less stamina than five years ago. I'm unemployed right now. I don't think I can take on full-time work and work my writing hustle. Hopefully some income starts happening soon.
And I've had a little scare with melanoma. A little surgery. Results should be in later this week. Too many things to get done before I have meet Mr. Van Gough.
