It's been 53 years since Dr. King was assassinated. We have made some social progress since that time, but there should have been more. A lot more.

The lack of sufficient police protection at the Capital on January 6---when compared to BLM protests---is an outward sign of how USA treats two different races. It doesn't matter whether this negligence was a serious mismanagement or a willful deliberation to allow "protesters" into the building. Two different sets of rules! Depending on what color your skin is.

I'm in favor of reparations for African-Americans and Native Americans.

I find it amazing that both CNN and writers from Medium have not made the connection for January 6. Had the "protesters" breached the building in time to assassinate members of Congress, Mr. Trump would have had to declare martial law. Then one obscure legal step would have gone unfullfilled to put Mr. Biden as president.

USA was so close to a constitutional crisis!
