I've always wondered why I haven't taken to podcasts or videos all that much. Your response explains my reluctance to embrace this media.
I probably read at least 10 Medium articles a day. When I enter into a Medium article, I can quickly ascertain how I want to engage with it. I can decide to: (1) dump it, (2) skim read, (3) moderate read, or (4) deed read within 15 seconds.
With podcasting, I need to listen for 5 to 10 minutes before making that same decision. And listening for "42 minutes" means I cannot afford 10 podcasts a day.
Thank you for this response. For too long, I thought I was too far in the Luddite category. Rather, I just have a different way of processing my learning.
