I've been on Medium for four years. Because I have an unpopular topic, my writing has not gone very far in Medium.

The MPP has not been that important to me, but I would like more recognition for my innovations in democracy. I recognize that Medium needs to keep the business matrix at least breaking even, and my unpopular topic is not contributing to the matrix.

I think these new ways will bring in more "mostly readers," who pay happily pay the subscription fee to engage with many good writers. And some of these readers, who are not trying to hustle for MPP or recognition, will be more inclined to read my ideas.

These changes are a worthy experiment. We shall soon see.

Regardless, I appreciate Medium for providing a forum for me to get my ideas "out there."
