I've been on Medium for four years. My main motive in to promote an alternative democracy. I think I've engaged--to various degree--with about 4000 people in this new democracy (340 articles, 8550 responses). Some of these people are likely to have a liberal arts background.

Essentially, I have been wasting my time. This rather large focus group has told me this new way is not worthy of any investigation.

So I'm seeing a big paradox here. If liberal arts is necessary to move the world forward, yet it can't seem to give this new way the time of day, what is the purpose of a liberal arts background? From my perspective?
