I've been thinking more about this article. In my opinion, the Democrats should have convicted Mr. Clinton and run him out of office. My belief is that when a person is too preoccupied with a vice or two, they should not be serving in public office. They are not offering the best judgement.
Unfortunately, voters do judge these things on principles. The party affilation has more to with what is right and wrong.
Let's go back to 1992. George Bush 1 was set to win another four years of being the prez. All the Democrat heavyweight (like Al Gore) decided not to challange him. So the field became open to a third-rate politician with a controversial political history. No one thought he would win. But something happened.
The TDG would never create kind of scenario.
